The wound bed should always be copiously coated with the gel. For this purpose Prontosan - Wound Gel is applied to the wound or filled into the wound cavities or wound pockets. Dressings, gauzes, compresses or other absorbent materials or wound fillers can also be wetted or moistened in order to use these to cover or to fill the wounds before a dressing is applied.
